About QRmint

Last updated: July 26, 2026

QRmint is an online QR code generator built around a simple idea: you should be able to design a professional, well-branded QR code — and see exactly how it turns out — before you are asked for anything. Whether you need a code for a restaurant menu, a business card, a product label or an event poster, you can make one in under a minute; downloading the finished file is what a Pro subscription covers.

Our mission

QR codes have become part of everyday life. They sit on tables in cafés, on packaging, on storefront windows and on conference badges. Yet the tools that create them are often frustrating to use: features hidden behind a trial countdown, a design you cannot see until you have handed over your card, or codes that quietly stop working later.

Our mission is to make professional QR codes straightforward and honest. Every code type and every design option — colours, gradients, dot shapes, your own logo, frames — is free to use, and you can see exactly what your finished code looks like before you decide anything. Downloading the image file is what a QRmint Pro subscription pays for, at $9.99 a month or $79 a year. That is the whole arrangement: no trial that expires mid-project, no feature you discover is locked only after you have done the work.

Running QRmint costs real money — servers, the short links behind dynamic codes, and the scan statistics that come with them — and a subscription is what keeps it running without selling your data or filling the tool with distractions.

Why static QR codes

QRmint's free generator produces static QR codes. That means the information you enter — a link, WiFi credentials, a contact card, an event — is encoded directly into the pattern of the code itself. There is no redirect service in the middle, no shortlink that can break, and no company that can switch your code off.

The practical consequence matters: once you download a static QR code from QRmint, it belongs to you forever. It does not expire, there is nothing to renew, and it does not stop working if you later cancel your subscription. You can print it on ten thousand flyers with complete confidence that it will still scan years from now, even if this website disappeared tomorrow.

QRmint Pro also includes dynamic QR codes, which work the other way round: they point at a QRmint short link, so you can change the destination after printing and see how many people scanned it, from where and when. Those depend on our servers, so they keep redirecting for as long as your subscription is active.

Straight talk about your data

QR code images are generated on our servers, which means the content you are encoding — a link, WiFi credentials, the details of a contact card — is sent to us so the image can be drawn. We are telling you this plainly because other tools are vague about it.

What we do with it is narrow and deliberate: your content is used to render the image and is not stored for static QR codes, not logged alongside your account, and never sold or shared. For dynamic QR codes you save to your dashboard we do keep the destination and the page content, because that is the feature — the code has to know where to send people, and you need to be able to edit it later.

If you are encoding something you would rather never transmit at all, a static code you generate and print once is the safest option: after you download it, nothing about it stays with us.

Who QRmint is for

If you have ever needed a QR code that looks like it belongs to your brand rather than a generic black-and-white square, QRmint was built for you.

What makes QRmint different

Most generators make you pay before you can even see what you are buying. On QRmint the entire design stage is free: upload your logo into the center of the code, choose solid colors or linear and radial gradients, pick from six dot shapes and multiple corner styles, and add frames with a custom call-to-action label — then look at the finished result. Error correction is handled automatically, so a customized code stays reliably scannable.

When you are happy with it, QRmint Pro unlocks the download: high-resolution PNG and JPEG up to 2048 × 2048 pixels, vector SVG for crisp printing at any size, and dynamic QR codes with scan statistics. See the pricing page for what is included.
